10 The Constitutional Court’s Support Services Like the other courts, the Constitutional Court has a Registry staffed by clerks. There are also the Justices’ support offices , made up of legal assistants and secretaries, and a Documentary Support and Legal Information Unit , which includes the Library. Finally, the Court also has its own administrative, financial and IT support departments. In all, 84 people work at the Court. The Court has a Library , whose shelves are predominantly stocked with works on Constitutional Law and Political Science. The Library’s main role is to support the Justices and the rest of the Court’s staff, but it can also be consulted by judges, prosecutors, lawyers, university lecturers and other jurists from Portugal and abroad. Its catalogue can be consulted online, on the Court’s website. Public Prosecutors’ Office The Attorney General of the Republic delegates two Assistant Attorneys General to represent the Public Prosecutors’ Office at the Court.
