1. On January 17, the Plenary of the Constitutional Court approved the President's proposal regarding the appointment of the members of the Transparency Commission:
President: Ana Raquel Gonçalves Moniz;
Member: Mónica Maria Bessa Correia;
Member: Pedro Miguel da Silva Esteves Ribeiro Mascarenhas Nunes.
2. At the same time and thanks to the commitment of the Rector of the University of Coimbra and his team, it was possible to dispense with the provisional renting solution that the Plenary had previously approved (session of November 8, 2022), since construction works at Colégio de Santa Rita (Palácio dos Grilos) are almost finished. As soon as the ordered equipment and furniture are received, adequate work spaces will be made available to the three directors of the Transparency Commission and three other employees, which is expected to take place in February. The 2nd phase of the construction works - which will conclude the installation is expected to take a maximum of six months.
3. The Court and the University of Coimbra believe that the Government will fulfil its legal obligation to install the Commission, notably by monitoring the construction works and signing the corresponding provisional acceptance and final acceptance certificates.
4. The electronic platform for the electronic processing of the single declarations of assets and earnings has been completed. Once the necessary tests have been carried out, provisional acceptance will take place by the end of February. The internal procedures and legal formalities essential for the platform's operation should be concluded during the second quarter of 2023.
